Betty Crowson, Life Coach

For Men & Women in the midst of Change or Indecision
Transitional periods can be pivotal for making transformative and life-enhancing changes. Yet, they are also times when men and women are vulnerable to losing their perspective, their balance, their direction, and their hope. As a coach, my primary purpose is to help my clients recover all of these, and then to go one step further -- to help them make the changes they desire and deserve in order to live their very best lives.
Effective
Convenient
Affordable
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of God within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

-Marianne Williamson , A Return to Love, 1992, Pgs. 190-191
Do you need a Personal Coach?
Are you currently in the midst of change, or wish to make some change in your life?
Has a recent crisis or situation shaken your sense of "who you are" or threatened your security?
Are you struggling to cope with emotions which yo-yo from one extreme to the other? Grief, anger, confusion, anxious apart-ness?
Has your life been thrown off kilter due to circumstances beyond your control?
Do you feel stuck in the "same old, same old," not knowing how to get out?
Do you feel confused and indecisive about what to do next or how to move from point A to point B?
Has a recent occurrence in your life challenged what you have previously believed to be true?
If you can answer "yes" to any one of these questions, then I can be of help to you. Although like many coaches, I believe that the client inherently knows her own answers, I also believe that when any man or woman is in the midst of a crisis, change, or transition, they often need more direction and support than they might otherwise require.
What is Personal Coaching?
Personal coaching is a vehicle for helping you make changes that you want to make, get through crises or changes that you're in the middle of, head in directions that you choose, and to find the tools, support, and directions you need in order to do so.

Unlike therapy, coaching is very action-oriented. It helps you to "move on", while deepening your self-learning in the process. Coaching is a vehicle for bringing your head, heart, and actions into harmonic balance, so that you can make decisions and choices which are based on your own values and desires.
How it Works?
Coaching is convenient, effective, and affordable. After the initial “getting to know each other” session that entails a two to three hour face to face meeting, the rest of coaching is done by telephone. These calls are normally made on a weekly basis and are either ½ hour or 45 minutes in duration.

As a life coach, I provide good orderly direction and support to help you become connected, fulfilled, and less anxious. This might include helping you to:
Create more order and balance
Take a new perspective on an old problem
Live though emotional turmoil
Work through transitional periods
Clarify and achieve specific goals
Identify the "same old, same old" behaviors and attitudes
Consider alternatives
Move beyond indecision and confusion
A coach helps you to get your feet under you, set goals in your life, and then guides you through the process of getting from “here” to “there.” Though our coaching relationship, you will get in touch with:
Take a new perspective on an old problem
what you want
what you fear
what inspires you
what your strengths are
what your dreams consist of
when and how you shoot yourself in the foot
As a personal coach, I motivate the procrastinator, guide the confused, and "unstick" the stuck. This is done while taking a woman's entire life into consideration; health, finances, relationships, personal growth issues, spirituality, career, and good old recreation.

Coaching Testimonials
I have a background in the helping professions and have observed many human growth specialists. Never have I come across anyone as gifted as Betty. Her combination of practical advice, humor and spirituality (absent the usual psycho-babble) has helped me unlock long held toxic ways of thinking and behaving. Now my choices and decisions are conscious, deliberate, and authentic.

Marilyn, 59, Executive Vice President

Nearly a year ago, my husband suddenly left me. With Betty's help, I've come to view this difficult time in my life as a tremendous learning experience. She's kept me focused on what I CAN do: take care of myself, stay balanced in all areas, and acquaint myself - perhaps for the very first time - with a strong, competent, and resourceful woman - me!

Barbara, 44, Dental Hygienist

A few months ago, my husband suddenly dropped dead from a heart attack. He was my whole life. I don't even know who I am without him. Without the gentle and nurturing coaching from Betty Crowson, I don't know where I would be right now.

Suzanne, 53, Bookkeeper

For years I felt like a misplaced woman, both in my marriage and in my job. When I became diagnosed with breast cancer, I knew that my life as it was wasn't working for me or for anyone else. Thank God someone had recommended Betty Crowson as a coach. Working with her has opened doors I didn't even know existed. I feel like I'm finally finding where I "fit" in the whole scheme of things.
